Melbourne Textile wet processing Plant is a wet & dry processing Unit, which
is a part of the renowned EAM Maliban Group of companies. Since the inception of
the Melbourne wet processing plant in 1993 we have rapidly grown to become one
of the industry leaders in garment value addition in South East Asia and the
preferred wet and dry processing vendor to reputed brands such as Gap Next,
Banana Republic, Burberry, Nike, Lands End, Gas, Victoria’s Secret, Pink, Eddie
Bauer, Pioneer, Pierre Cardin, Levi’s George River Island, Hugo Boss, Diesel,
Columbia…etc. Today we operate 2 locations in Sri Lanka located at mabola (Colombo) and Mahiyanganaya (250 kms away from Colombo). Employing a total skilled workforce of 1200, our current garment output stands at 60 million pieces/annum. We have invested in fully automatic machineries, foreign technical expertise and collaboration to give our customer a top of the edge service. Melbourne’s core business could be described as apparel wet / dry treatment application. Our state-of-the-art production facility is divided into wet processing & dry processing treatment application, equipped with fully automated machinery including physical, technical and color laboratory. Another vital part of Melbourne’s operation is our research and development laboratory. We firmly believe that the importance we place in Research & Development is what keeps us well aligned to our clients’ needs, and well ahead to meet the new challenges and requirements of the industry.
